Keeping Christmas Well
Most of us know the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge almost as well as we know the story of Jesus’ birth. Tiny Tim’s famous “God bless us, every one” became the uniting song of A Christmas Carol, but a much less famous line is what inspired this creation.
Ebeneezer lived a miserly life. He hated humanity.
Yet, his utter and complete transformation one Christmas night changed how he looked at, approached, and did life – he lived life as though every day was Christmas.
He carried the spirit of Christmas beyond the season into everyday life. So much so, that in the end we learn,
"And it was always said of him, that he knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed the knowledge.”
Don’t we want that to be said of us? That we knew how to keep Christmas well? Akin to “Well done, good and faithful servant,” let this sweatshirt be our reminder to keep Christmas – the Person and the season – well, sharing His love and joy throughout the year.
