Going through our products getting organized for the year, I came across our 'be like Noah' shirt. This was an important message for me last year as we faced a challenging year of obstacles, challenges, and family losses that only compounded the year. But as this reminder is important for me, I feel the Holy Spirit prompting me to share it with anyone else who needs it too.
[Often, when we think of Noah, we think of colorful felt board story pieces - two of every animal neatly arranged around a cut-out boat.
But, we all know the story of Noah is SO. MUCH. MORE.
It is the story of ultimate and unwavering faith. Faith that overrides all doubt. Faith that conquers fear. A compelling faith that demolishes all public ridicule and sets our feet on the path set by God. Despite being called crazy, stupid, dumb, and insane, Noah's faith rose above and He ultimately fulfilled God's promise.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he ... became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith. (Hebrews 11:6-7)]
